In the HEAT OF THE MOMENT @ details: SATELLITE ART SHOW MIAMI BEACH 2024
Dec 4-8th
Gratitude and thanks for inviting to: Artist and curator of the show Nitin Mukul, the sponsor, Epicenter NYC, and go-to man Sage Hazarika, who have together conjured up an opportunity for us upcoming artists to have our works be eyeballed by many people, we expect. Satellite Poster:
For the past year I’ve been working on 16×20 watercolor on canvas titled Dreaming in Tezpur. It was on display at the Miami Art fair 2024 with Buddha’s Last Teaching
1. Dreaming in Tezpur is a watercolor self portrait on the banks of the Brahmaputra, Assam. Points to man’s direct connection to the sacred, to nature, Earth as mother of all resources needed to sustain a life with vision. On the opposite bank are arrayed the brick and mortar houses of worship of man made religious institutions. Cool Hornbill couple and a family of pink river dolphins grace the dream.
Also in the show:
2. Buddha’s Last Teaching
Buddha’s Last Teaching 8×10 watercolor on canvas PT Hazarika
The image is composed of the back of Buddha’s head and right shoulder from a snap shot of the gold Reclining Buddha inside the Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok, Thailand. Reclining because he is on his deathbed. IMPERMANENCE.
Dream Dandelions’ pappus parachutes emanating from flowers inside his pillows drift to transport the seeds (of his truth).
